The 8th Annual Ashland Harvest Run a 10K Run/5K Run-Walk is set for Saturday, October 22, 2011 in support of Hanover Habitat for Humanity and Patrick Henry Family YMCA.

Pre-race registration and packet pick-up is 5:30pm-7:00pm, Friday, October 21 at Ashland’s Richard Gillis Library on Center Street. Day-of-race sign-up begins at 7:45am Saturday, October 22 at Ashland Carter Park. Participants will receive a T-shirt.
The 10K run begins at 9am and the 5K walk/run starts at 9:10 a.m. These certified race courses (10K- 396214 and 5K - 396206) are on the East side of the railroad tracks beginning and ending at Carter Park in Historic Ashland and winding through tree-lined neighborhoods and along wooded paths. Water will be available on the course at approximately miles 2 and 4.
After the race, enjoy refreshments, music by Brent Small and an awards ceremony along with a cash prize and trophies for top 10K finshers. Bring your family to cheer you on and enjoy a crisp fall morning!
Sponsored by the GFWC Ashcake Woman’s Club, in the past seven years, the Race has generated more than $30,000 in support of community organizations such as ACES, WHEAT, Hanover Safe Place and St. James Fre Clinic.
