Carytown 10k 2013

The Course

Starts and ends at Cary Court in Carytown and is run mostly on Cary St. and Grove Ave. The course is flat and fast USA Track and Field standards certified (VA09019RT). There will be mile markers and the race will be run on open roads. Traffic will be controlled. Water will be available at miles 2 and 4.5.

Free Kids Run

There will be an informal kids run at 7:30am on Cary St. All participants must be registered. The distance will be no greater than ¼ mile and you may run with your child. They will receive a small souvenir for participating. If you would like a race shirt for your child, you may pay $10 and select a youth sized t-shirt by April 20th.

Entry Rules and Information
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, no exceptions. All registrants who provide a valid email address will receive a confirmation email. Sign up online through 8am on Friday, May 3rd. The Richmond Road Runners Club is not responsible for lost or misdirected race applications. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

Entry Fees
The cost of the race is $20 for RRRC Members and $25 for non-members before April 19th. The cost after April 18th is $30 for all. You can sign up online.

Number/T-shirt Pickup
Numbers and T-shirts may be picked up on Friday, May 3rd from 3 to 5:30pm and Saturday, May 4th from 10 am to 4 pm at The Roadrunner Running Store, 3002 West Cary Street (353.8365). You may pick up a number/T-shirt for another runner. Numbers/T-shirts may be picked up on the day of the race from 6:30 to 7:30am in the Cary Court parking lot. SHIRTS WILL NOT BE DISTRIBUTED AFTER MAY 5^TH.

Race Day Information
The Carytown 10K welcomes walkers. Enjoy a beautiful scenic walk/run through Carytown on a spring morning. You must be able to complete the 6.2 miles by 10am(2 hours).

Parking
Parking is available in the decks north of Cary Street and on the surrounding streets. Please do not park at Elwood Thompsons, Martin’s or Kroger. The RRRC is not responsible for parking violations.

Awards and Prizes
All pre-registrants will receive a T-shirt. The top three overall male and female finishers will receive prizes compliments of The Roadrunner Running Store. First male and female masters and Clydesdale and Athena will receive gift certificates. First place in five-year age groups will receive a commemorative award. Second and third place will receive ribbons. The award presentation will begin at 9:30am at Cary Court. Awards must be picked up at this time and will not be mailed.
