SanGirl:

I'm not exactly "Speedy" so I'll try to keep up with you:). My plan is to follow the pack and then when the lead runners are coming back towards me, that's my signal to turn around and head back, regardless of mileage. I don't want to miss out on breakfast. Heard that Ed was buying coffee for everyone:).

Not sure what the course will be tomorrow. Huguenot Bridge is still a little snow covered. Here's what I think will happen:
1. We will run somewhere for about an hour.
2. Everyone will have fun!
3. We will go to Westberry Pharmacy for breakfast.
People of all paces will be there. Maybe even some walkers

it's an out and back so once the front runners turn around and come back, any of the back of the backers can(don't have to) turn around too, hence the mileage difference. Also works for the pokeys ;)

So the event says 7 miles. Are we doing 9.5 or just 7?

Will there be other super pokey people there? I mean, really slow pacers?

Myron is right. I mapped it and it is about 9.5 miles. Here is the link: www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=340873

It's usually a wide variety of paces and experience levels. It's a fairly large group that usually splinters, with all paces fairly well covered.

I do question the distance of 7 miles - seems to me that from the BOOT to the Stratford Hills 7/11 and back is more like 9.5 miles. However the course is an out and back, so it could really be whatever distance you want it to be :-)
