Event Description
The Great Pumpkin Race 5k run/walk and Fall Family Festival is sponsored by the Short Pump Rotary Club to benefit Polio research. The race begins at 8:30 am on Saturday October 23, 2010. The course will take runners and walkers through the paved trails of scenic Deep Run Park in western Henrico. A free kid’s run for children under 10 will be held at 9:30 am after the conclusion of the 5k run/walk.
The 5k race and 5k walk will begin by the recreation center parking lot and will travel throughout the park. Water and sports drinks will be available at the start and finish and at the 1.8 mile marker of the course. Post race refreshments and Halloween treats will be available after the race/walk along with music, entertainment, and activities for the entire family. Participants are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes for the race and walk. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes as well as for top finishers.
Registration Fees and Information: Pre-registration fee is $25 per participant until October 21 and $30 per participant on race day. Technical T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 300 paid registrants. Packet pickup and race day registration will be from 7:00 am to 8:15 am on October 23. The event will take place rain or shine and registration fees are not refundable.

i was told that i would have my race shirt mailed to me by the lady who was working the packet pick up table . i wear a medium. also just curious still if there is a site that i might see the results..
