Supporting running in the metro Richmond area
The Kirk Williams Roll-Out is an outdoor festival that includes 13-27-40-66 mile rides, a 10K running race, fuzzy buddy walk and agility course, several bands, slow cooked barbecue and some cold tasty brew. The event is a fundraising benefit for a great young man who grew up riding with many of us. Kirk Williams was always one of the youngest riders in the Yellow Jersey Century ride and was always smiling broadly and riding strong at the end. In November 2009, a freak mountain bike accident left Kirk paralyzed, and he has been continuing on his journey of recovery and adaptation with amazing perseverance, grace and style. There is no set registration fee-each participant is asked to make a donation to the Kirk Williams Special Needs Trust. Each donating registrant will receive a ticket for a meal and beverage to enjoy after the bike ride, footrace or the dog walk.
