MCEF Run to Serve 5k

About The Race
The 3.1 mile/5K course is a two lap scenic trail run around the recreation fields and through the wooded frisbee golf course behind New Hanover Presbyterian Church.

The Kids Run 'Round The Ark is approximately .5 mile as they complete two-laps around the measured perimeter of Noah's Ark.

The 3k Kids Run to Stop Hunger is for young runners (ages 6 - 12) who want to experience trail running but aren't quite ready for a 5k.

Your participation will help MCEF to help those in our community who need assistance with essential bills, food and/or clothing.

Date, Time & Location
The race will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 on the recreation fields at New Hanover Presbyterian Church located at 10058 Chamberlayne Road, Mechanicsville, VA.

The 5k will begin at 8:00 a.m.

3k Kids Run at 9:00 a.m.

Kids Run 'round the Ark at 9:30 a.m.

Entry Donation
$15.00 per participant for the 5k and $10 per participant for the 3k Kids Run and $10 per participant for Kids Fun Run 'Round the Ark. A family registration cap is being offered for 4 or more participants from the same household (all participants must be registered) Registrations after September 10th are not guaranteed t-shirts so PLEASE register early. Registration price increase after September 10th 5k - $20 per participant and $15 per participant for Kids runs. Entry donations are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable, no exceptions.

Canned Food Drive Race Day - In an effort to reach out to our neighbors in need locally, we are asking for each participant to bring non perishable foods on race day to stock the MCEF Food Pantry.

STOP Hunger Now meal packaging event on Friday, September 30th from 6 - 8 PM. Join us as we package 10,000 meals to help with international hunger relief. Please register at www.nhpc.org if you would like to participate.

Race T-Shirts Available
Race t-shirts are available for adults and children with early registration by September 10th. Registrations after September 10th are not guaranteed a t-shirt.

Packet/T-Shirt Pick Up
Race packets will be available for pick up on Friday September 30 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and on race day beginning at 7:00 AM at New Hanover Presbyterian Church.

Additional Policies
No pets will be allowed on the premises during race events. No strollers will be allowed on the 5K or 3K course. Strollers are permitted at the Kids Run 'Round the Ark (keep in mind that course is in a cut field).
