Th e race starts at 1 pm allowing everyone the chance to recover from New Year's eve. The course is challenging and should be a good warm up fo r the winter racing season.\n\nRegister online You can register online and mail in a check!\nRegister by Mail\nSee who is running\nMake a do nation to the Monacan PTA so you don't need to volunteer at this club race.\nJoin RRRC today and save $5 on the race (students $5, individua ls $15, families $20).\n\nRegistration\nThe fee is $10 for RRRC member s and $15 for non-members before December 15 and then increases to $15 /$20. Online registration closes 11:59 pm, December 26. Onsite registr ation opens at 11:30. The Richmond Road Runners Club is not responsibl e for lost, late, or misdirected applications. Entries are non-refunda ble and non-transferable. Please do not mail your application after De cember 19. Just bring it to the race.\n\nThe Course\nThe 10K course is a loop through the streets of the Smoketree and Stonehenge neighborho ods, starting and ending next to the Monacan H.S. football field. The course is hilly and measured to US Track & Field standards. This is th e third year for the race. The best times were Cary Chaffee in 32:18 a nd Anna Catanese in 39:06, both in 2009. Water will be available on th e course. Mile markers will be on the course.\n\nLocation\nThe race wi ll be run from Monacan High School located at 11501 Smoketree Drive in the Smoketree section of Midlothian off of Courthouse Rd.\n\nGrand Pr ix Race\nThis is a Richmond Road Runners Club Grand Prix Race. Each ye ar the club runs a series of races and members collect points by placi ng or volunteering at the events. At the end of the year the male and female winners are announced as the Grand Prix Champions at the club's annual banquet.\n\nAwards\nPink or Black Knit beanie hat to all pre-r egistered runners. Trophies to the top three males and females, male a nd female masters and Athena (>150#) and Clydesdales (>200#). Ribbons to the top three in five year age groups.\n\nTiming and Results\nThe r ace will be computer timed by the Richmond Road Runners Club. Results will be posted after completion of the race online at www.rrrc.org.\n\ nRandom Prizes\nRandom prizes will be presented after the race while t he results are being tabulated.\n\nRefreshments\nNon-alcoholic champag ne, water, sport drinks and Papa John's Pizza will be served after the race.\n\nMore Information\nThe race director is John Clark.
