The Powhatan Village Run 4-Miler: the cure for the common 5K.
Established in 1981 and a Labor Day Weekend tradition in Powhatan since 1989, the Village Run welcomes runners of all ages and abilities. Though we have donated thousands of dollars to local causes, the primary purpose of the race has been to provide a fun and quality road race in a hospitable setting. We are proud to be one of Central VA's oldest and BEST road races. The course is generally flat and runs through the streets (and shade) of the courthouse village and the trails of Fighting Creek Park. This year's race will benefit the Powhatan High School cross country and track teams.
The 2017 Village Run will be Saturday, September 2 at 8 AM.
Unique to the Powhatan Village Run! Parent and Child Teams: To encourage family fun and fitness, the Village Run has created three Parent/Child Team entry categories. One parent and one child may enter the race as a team at a discounted rate. Awards will be given to the 1st place teams at the elementary (through grade 5) and middle school (grades 6-8) levels.
Fees: Register Early to Save (and be guaranteed a T-Shirt).
T Shirts: guaranteed to registrations received by Aug. 29. Online registration closes at 12 AM on Sept. 1. Cotton T-Shirts are included with your registration. You may upgrade to a short sleeve technical shirt for an additional $6. The deadline for tech shirts is Aug. 15
