SUMMARY:ReeseStrong 5K Run/Walk and Gold Ribbon Kid's Run for Aileen
DESCRIPTION:Aileen Johnson, age 9, was diagnosed with a malignant brai
 n tumor earlier this year. She has endured surgery, radiation and is c
 urrently undergoing chemotherapy. A large portion of the proceeds from
  this event will go directly towards her medical and rehabilitation ex
 penses. The ReeseStrong Foundation is dedicated to helping families st
 ay strong in the battle against childhood cancer.\n\nAbout the Course\
 n\nThe course is set in the neighborhoods of Rutland and Cool Spring F
 orest off Route 301 in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Timing will be provid
 ed by the Richmond Road Runners.\n\nGold Ribbon Kid’s Run for Aileen
 \n\nThe Gold Ribbon Kid’s Run will take place in the Rutland Commons
  shopping center. There will be two kid’s runs.\n\nChildren ages 5 a
 nd under will run ¼ mile.\nChildren ages 6 – 12 will run ½ mile.\n
 \nAll children who sign up for the Gold Ribbon Kid’s Run will then b
 e able to participate in the ReeseStrong 5K run/walk at no additional 
 cost.\n\nStarting Times\nGold Ribbon Kid’s Run 8:30 AM\nReeseStrong 
 5K Run/Family Walk 8:45 AM\n\nEntry Fees\nChildren 12 and under - $5\n
 Everyone Else $20 thru Sept. 4\nEveryone Else $25 Sept. 5 - Race Day\n
 \nT-Shirt Information\n\nAll children 12 and under who are registered 
 by August 25th will have their name listed on the back of the T-Shirt.
  All participants who register by September 4th will be guaranteed an 
 event t-shirt.\n\nUp for Some Friendly Competition?\n\nWhile individua
 l participation is welcome, more impact can be made by forming teams.
