"Use your Mind and Medicine to Run Faster and Safer"Training for the Monument Ave 10k? Whether you are just getting started or have been an training for years, you do not want to miss this special clinic! Join us at REI Richmond for an evening of free pizza and an exclusive running clinic presented by Commonwealth Sports Medicine. Dana Blackmer, Ph.D., Sports Psychologist will present how to use imagery to achieve your peak performance; learn relaxation skills to overcome pre-race jitters; practice energizing techniques to motivate you throughout the race; cope with exertion pain; and keep your head in the race when things go wrong. Following Dr. Blackmer, Teresa Stadler MD, FACSM, Ironman Triathlete, and mother of three, will speak on efficient, safe running form and how to prevent and treat common shin and knee problems.

This clinic will be offered on March 3rd & 18th, 6-7:30 PM in REI Richmond's Community Room. Please register with Customer Service at 804-360-1381.
