Stratford Hills 10K

The Race:
This race is the 30th year for this race. In celebration, the race will be free for all RRRC members who register online. All runners will receive a 30th anniversary technical running hat. The course is an out and back with a mile downhill at the beginning and a mile uphill at the end. The course is on roads along the James River. Registration:
The race is free to RRRC members who register online. The mail-in and day of race registration fee is $10 for RRRC club members and $20 for non-members. Club membership is only $15. Join online and save $5. Entry fees are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable, no exceptions. Registered runners will be listed on the RRRC web site. Do not mail entry forms after June 1. Instead sign-up online though 11:59 p.m. on June 5. The race is limited to the first 400 participants. Registration will be closed when capacity is reached.

The Course:
The 10 k (6.2 miles) course is an out and back course. It starts on the road beside the shopping center and descends down a fast 1 mile to a flat scenic run along the James River for about 2 miles to the turn around point. The return course is a reverse of the outgoing, back up that same starting hill. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO POLICE ON THE COURSE. BE ALERT, WATCH FOR TRAFFIC & PAY ATTENTION TO COURSE MARSHALS.

Location:
The race will be staged from the Stratford Hills Shopping Center, on the corner of Forest Hill Avenue and Hathaway Rd.

Grand Prix Race:
Each year the club runs a series of races and members collect points by placing or volunteering at the events. At the end of the year the male and female winners are announced as the Grand Prix Champions at the club’s annual banquet.

Packet Pick-Up:
Race numbers may be picked up on Race day starting at 7 am.

Awards:
There will be merchandise awards to the top three males and females as well as ribbons for the first three people in the standard RRRC five year age groups. Ribbons will also be presented to the top three Clydesdales and Athenas.
Free Massages after the race provided by Lily Infusion.

Race Timing:
The race will be computer timed by the Richmond Road Runners Club. Results will be posted after completion of the race online.

Will be provided by Total Photography.

Random Prizes:
Random prizes will be presented after the race while the results are being tabulated.

Refreshments:
Will be available after the race.
