The course i s an out and back with a mile downhill at the beginning and a mile uph ill at the end. The course is on roads along the James River. The mail-in and day of race registration fee is $10 for non-mem bers. Club membership is only $15. Entry fees are non-refundable and e ntries are non-transferable, no exceptions. Registered runners will be listed on the RRRC web site. Do not mail entry forms after May 28. In stead sign-up online though 11:59 p.m. on June 2. The race is limited to the first 400 participants. Registration will be closed when capaci ty is reached.The Course:The 10 k (6.2 miles) course is an out and bac k course. It starts on the road beside the shopping center and descend s down a fast 1 mile to a flat scenic run along the James River for ab out 2 miles to the turn around point. The return course is a reverse o f the outgoing, back up that same starting hill. PLEASE NOTE THAT THER E WILL BE NO POLICE ON THE COURSE. BE ALERT, WATCH FOR TRAFFIC & PAY A TTENTION TO COURSE MARSHALS. Location:The race will be staged from the Stratford Hills Shopping Center, on the corner of Forest Hill Avenue and Hathaway Rd.Grand Prix Race:Each year the club runs a series of ra ces and members collect points by placing or volunteering at the event s. At the end of the year the male and female winners are announced as the Grand Prix Champions at the club’s annual banquet.Packet Pick-U p:Race numbers may be picked up on Race day starting at 7 am. Awards:T here will be merchandise awards to the top three males and females as well as ribbons for the first three people in the standard RRRC five y ear age groups. Ribbons will also be presented to the top three Clydes dales and Athenas. Race Timing:The race will be computer timed by the Richmond Road Runners Club. Results will be posted after completion of the race online.Race Photos:Will be provided by Total Photography.
