Toys for Tots 5K Presented by the HCA Va

This is the 25th annual running of this race. Each year RRRC collects toys for children. Bring a toy valued at $10 OR pay a race fee of $10. You can walk or run. You just have to come to have fun! Regiostration opens at 11:00. Free Kid's runs starting at 12:15. 5K starts at 1 pm.

The Course: The race will be run at The Shoppes at Innsbrook. The 5K is out and back flat course through the Innsbrook community. The children's runs will be out and back on the last portion of the 5K course. The course is measured to US Track and Field standards.

Children's Runs: There will be a series of FREE children's runs starting at 12:15 with a 1/4 mile for 5 and under and 1/2 mile for ages 6-8. All finishers receive a candy cane. Children's runs are free but the children must be registered.

Awards: The top three male and females in the race will receive award plaques. Top three five-year age group male and female winners will receive ribbons.

Top Clydesdale (male over 200 lb) and Athena (female over 150 lb) will receive an award. Awards will be presented after the completion of the race.


Grand Prix: This is a Richmond Road Runners Club Grand Prix Race. Each year the club runs a series of races and members collect points by placing or volunteering at the events. At the end of the year the male and female winners are announced as the Grand Prix Champions at the club's annual banquet.

Race Timing and Results: The race will be computer timed by the Richmond Road Runners Club. Results will be posted after completion of the race online at www.rrrc.org.

Registration: The entry fee is one new toy valued at $10 or more for the 5K. You can register online and pay a $10 fee or agree that you will bring a toy to the race (there is no charge for doing it online and it is faster than waiting in line on registration day!). Fees for the children's runs are optional. All mailed in pre-registrations must be postmarked by December 8th. The Richmond Road Runners Club is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected applications. Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Race Number Pick-up: Race numbers may be picked up starting at 11 am on Sunday, December 13th.


Directions: The Shoppes at Innsbrook are located at the intersection of West Broad Street and Cox Road in the West End.

Water Stops: Water will be provided by Diamond Springs at about 1.5 miles. Refreshments will be available after the race.

Parking: Parking is available in the parking area around the Shoppes.
