Event Description
The Varina Day 5k is an event that benifits, "FISH." FISH is a non profit that works to help people in Eastern Henrico County with problems that need immediate attention. FISH works to help families with shelter, food, and other similar needs. They also help their clients find more permanent solutions such as employment and permanent housing.
The Varina Day 5k is being organized by a group of Henrico County Public School students to raise financial funds and awareness for FISH and to promote physical fitness throughout the community. While the run is drawing significant support from the HCPS students, parents, and staff, it is open to the entire community.

This is a great community event being organized by a motivated HCPS 8th grader. Please come support a worthy organization and some energetic students doing a good deed.
