A limited number of elite athlete sponsorships are available for the 10 mile distance. In some cases comped entry, food, and lodging will be provided. 2009 will feature a number of time bonuses ($$$). Please check the race website for prize money breakdown and addtional incentives. Saturday 9/26, 6:30am - 7:00am, E.C. Glass High School
Runners proceed north on Langhorne Road, downhill for 1.5 miles. After a short distance on Rivermont Terrace, runners turn east onto historic Rivermont Avenue. The 4 Miler participants finish at Randolph College, ¾ of a mile from Rivermont Terrace. Ten Miler participants continue down Rivermont Avenue and follow the course clockwise through Riverside Park overlooking the James River. Runners return same route finising up the infamous, 1.5 mile “Farm Basket” hill.
Entry fee includes rental of a electronic timing and scoring device. Chips must be returned to volunteers at the end of the race. Failure to return your chip will result in a $30 replacement fee. Chip timing will be used for both the 10 and 4 mile races.
Family Pasta Dinner
Join us Friday evening and experience the warmth of Lynchburg hospitality. A pasta dinner, catered by Monte Carlo Italian Restaurant, will be served at the E.C. Glass Cafeteria.$8.00 to preregistered runners (by 9/24), $12.00 at the door. Proceeds benefit the E.C. Glass Cross Country team.

Commemorative 36th Anniversary Finisher Medals to all that finish the Virginia 10 Miler & 4 Miler.
Team Competition will take place in BOTH races and across 2 team divisions; Open and Corporate. A team will consist of no more than 5 team members with the top 3 scoring and the other members displacing. Awards to top team in each division.
Lynchburg Road Runners Race Series
The Virginia 10 Miler will serve as the final race in the Lynchburg Road Runners Race Series. Double points will be awarded. Please visit http://www.riversiderunners.com/ for details.
Post Race Celebration
After crossing the finish line, all race participants will gather at EC Glass H.S. for plenty of complimentary food and beverage, music, and massages. Bring your family to enjoy the variety of post race activities and awards ceremony.
Bands and Neighborhood Parties
Live bands and music will be located throughout the courses for both races. Runners will be treated to more than 4 live bands and DJ's. Neighborhood parties are also being organized on the course.
