Supporting running in the metro Richmond area
The "Really Early Morning Run" is going public and taking to the trails! This is an all-weather 17 or 20 mile mile run on the James River trail system. It is a non-supported rogue-type run. If you need it, you bring it! Great for night run and relay race training!
Pre-run briefing will be in the Tredegar/Belle Isle parking lot (under the trestles) on Saturday, 02/27/16 (just after Friday midnight) at 01:45. We will run the 10-mile loop of Belle Isle, Buttermilk, Forest Hill Park, Buttermilk, Boulevard Bridge, and NorthBank Trail back to the parking area (10 miles). After refueling and snacks, those going long will repeat that route in reverse. Those going short (7 miles more) will do the same, only omitting Forest Hill Park. After re-grouping back at the parking area at around 06:00, we will go to the Third Street Diner for grub and beverages.
All participants are expected to bring their own supplies, know the trails, and bring a running-buddy if they are not willing to run alone.
