Supporting running in the metro Richmond area
Check out where you stand by checking out the Club Competitions tab above and seeing what you have done through June 30-the end of the third quarter. You have until the end of Sept to get more requirements and/or points. You know if you ran two cul de sacs to get another RRRC GP Race on you way to the needed 5. You know if you volunteer for a cul de sac. You know if you are ran Moonlight 4 miler. You know Patrick Henry is coming up and is the last RRRC GP race.
Quite a few of you,as of the end of June, only need volunteer points, one RRRC GP race volunteer, one RRRC contract volunteer point. Volunteer slots are out there still for both.
Have you checked out your age group leaders? Some of you only need to complete the requirements to be the only one in your age group to qualify.
I think it is a pretty big deal just to be a finalist. That shows you are involved with the club!
Anyone want to give shouts out to others in their age group that they are close and only need to do a race or two to be a finalist? Post a reply and then let them know what they need to do to see what they need. A member only needs one RRRC volunteer point to gets them a free invite to the banquet-to see you get your GP Finalist Prize.

Permalink Reply by Pete on August 8, 2012 at 9:23pm I will start the shout out by saying that I see that Charlie Conrad, my age group, needs one GP Race volunteer point and one RRRC contract race point to be a finalist. Somebody let Charlie know that he needs to volunteer tomorrow night or at Patrick Henry and then volunteer at one of the two Sept RRRC contract races and he is a finalist.
Pete, I want to sign up to volunteer for the ReeseStrong 5K on 9/15. The organization's website has a place to sign up to volunteer, but I don't think that's for our finish line duties. Where can I sign up to volunteer for RRRC?
Thanks --
Sarah
Permalink Reply by Pete on August 9, 2012 at 2:00pm Yes, we have had times when someone has volunteered for the contract race-and those races all need their own set of volunteers-and thought they were signing up to volunteer for RRRC.
Here is the RRRC link for the two contract races.

If that doesn't work, then go to the home page and click on the "Volunteer" in the box in the top left corner. That will always be there for contract races.
You must be looking to add to your points for GP. Seems that you have volunteered for more than one contract race this year. We are happy to have you!
Thanks,
Pete
No, I've volunteered for 3 club races this year but no contract races. I have to get that in so I can be a Grand Prix finalist! Thanks for the link.
