My husband and I are signed up to run the Myrtle Beach Marathon Feb 13th. Both of us have run marathons before. Could the spring team be modified to accommodate a Feb marathon as we really want to run those long runs with others??

Hi Vera. You can take the schedule I'll provide and adjust it to accommodate Myrtle Beach. Your long runs may be a bit off schedule compared to what the larger group will be doing, but it should be pretty close. Schedules will be made available shortly. I can tell you that at this point, you should running close to 14 miles for your long runs already.
Yes, I keep my long run at 10 always. Then about 20 weeks out from Feb 13th, I began the marathon built up but alittle earlier than the normal because I wanted to get in 2- 15 milers before the half marathon last Saturday with a little taper. (This worked great for me as I had a PR last Saturday. Yea!) Today I did 16 miles. I presently have my first 20 miler scheduled the week of Christmas. Not ideal but at least I can eat a few Christmas cookies without guilt. Smile. (It makes me feel better about the hard week during the holidays.) Then the next two 20 milers (50 mile weeks) with recovery inbetween and the normal marathon taper. Mileage wise I am right where I should be for MBM. I had someone to run with today for the 16 miler. But they are running Charlotte. And, I really do not relish that 18 + mile long runs alone. So should I sign up for the spring team?? I am not BQ fast so that is one of my concerns.

Congrats on your PR! The Spring Marathon Training group is not just for folks fast enough to run Boston. The paces for training runs range from 6:40-11ish min/mile. On Saturdays we have between 40-100+ runners, and the Sunday group is usually 20-30 strong. You're almost guaranteed to have someone to run with.
