Supporting running in the metro Richmond area
Well, it was quite a challenge to sort out the finishers coming from 2 directions. No matter how well you try to mark a trail, one person turning the wrong way will take many with them. It was a great day in the woods. Overall I hope everyone enjoyed the course. It was a trying day with all the leaves that covered so much of the trail. Plenty of streams to cross (twice) and, apparently a low tree limb that many hit due to looking at the footing so intently. All this is what makes trail running such a unique experience.
Many thanks to the volunteers for coming out to Cumberland (names posted below).
