Supporting running in the metro Richmond area

It was good seeing all at the Bear Creek 10-Miler today.  Much thanks to RD Kevin O'Conner (spelling?) and the cast of thousands of volunteers!   Well done!  Anyone know the person in the attached photo?  Kinda looks like a retired Marine drill sergeant...

I added a couple pics and some video from today's race. I don't know where they are on the site, but I swear I uploaded them... My legs feel like death! What a great snowy day on the trails! Thanks vols and K for the fun and organization.
The pictures are on "Your" page.
Who was taking pictures at the end?
Great volunteer turnout! There was a midway out & back enthusiatic water stop that we haven't seen in years and a couple of race marshals on the minor change in course. Kevin even put out some mile markers at 1,2,4, & 8. I might have missed one or not remembered that quite right.
Thanks Pete, I can speak for Janet and I, we had fun at the out/back water stop.
Our water stop was a blast! I couldn't feel my toes, but other than that, I had a great time volunteering with Sabrina, Hervey and Janet. I'm glad I went. I'm also glad that no runners were impaled by the bike rack on the back of Sabrina's SUV :)
Yea, I just spotted it before crashing into it. Would have looked like one of those "mounted deer" ornaments we see this time of year. Thanks to all volunteers.
I got a real mental uplifting from all the words of encouragement I received from the one and only Running Goddess when I ran through her water stop!!!! She sure knows how to lift your spirits when you are ready to drop.

Kevin: thanks for giving me the opportunity. Although every muscle in my legs ached at the end.......it was well worth it. This has got to be one of the most challenging courses on the race schedule.
Joe,

I live to lift your spirits....even though doing so is a real workout. It was good seeing you.

I'm glad that you got your workout in cause I certainly got mine in on the most challenging course on the RRRC circuit. BTW the swamp was okay going out but on the rebound it was beginning to "percolate"which of course made me think of your experience which of course caused me to"bust a gut"!!!!! Nice to see my favorite Cowboy fan again!!!!

Water stop #2 was the place to be! I had a great time volunteering with Renee, Hervey, and Janet. We will have to team up again.
