Supporting running in the metro Richmond area

All - I am planning on running the Bear Creek 10 mile trail Sunday, November 22 at 8:00am. Come on out and join me. All are welcome, even if you are not planning on running Bear Creek. Be sure to bring some type of hydration system. I use a hand held bottle, others use camel backs, Nathian hydration packs, fuel belts, etc. What ever works best for you. Also, no littering on the trail.

Marianna,
I expect to be on the trails that morning but probably a bit earlier. I can leave a gallon jug of water under one of the benches in the shelter at the turn. So carrying one water bottle and refilling for the return run should be enough.

Since when is there "no littering on the trail"? I've found that litter (particularly the type that does not decompose) serves are a guide on those difficult to distinguish trails. It also aids runners by not having to look up for blazes...
hi there run happy ;
we have no idea of the damage from the heavy rain /
we will not be able to start inspections until the 22th nov, /
we gather your group will use the same course as 6 th dec. /
feed back from you'lls run would be helpful /

No problem, I will send you a report.
Depending on a nagging knee problem, I plan to run the trail tomorrow morning (11/15) and will look for problem areas.
I'm sure the streams will be up, but I consider that positive because it makes the course more interesting.
Kevin
I agree Kevin but we do have 3 weeks before the race. It could dry up or we could get more rain and the course be even more interesting.
And the "swamp" can freeze and thaw.....
I'm thinking the "swamp" will be very dry by race day. If not, I've got the waders to stand in there to hand out the drink cups to you all, provided that you're nice to me:)
No water stop in the "swamp", but if you want to pack the supplies in you are more than welcome to set up shop....
Maybe I'll just work the finish line for this one:)
Dudette: I wouldn't count on the swamp being very dry. Its such a low lying area that it will hold standing water longer than the woodland. And besides, why do you think its called a swamp ? So you better wear your waders and bring your dog tags so we can id you after the Creature from the Black Lagoon gets through with ya. I just hope that I get my drink cup before you get dragged into the muck. On second thought..... since I haven't been "nice" to you, I probably will get a rock in my drink cup.

Creature from the Black Lagoon......she's all yours buddy!!!!
You wouldn't get a rock in your drink cup. It would be a lump of coal:)
