Permalink Reply by Sara on January 11, 2012 at 8:58pm Detention Run Report: This run proves to be the most reliable group run time and time again! On a rainy, slightly chilly January evening, we had a great turnout! Wolfie, Hot Rod, Fearless Bob, Fast Sarah, and Keith ran 6 swift miles and Edwin and Jerzee Sara followed behind with 5 great miles. It was nice that it wasn't too cold, and we finished up before it started raining really heavily. Thanks for coming out guys!! It was great to be back out!
Permalink Reply by 2.0 on January 12, 2012 at 4:01am With the start of the 10K Training teams, Spring Marathon/Half Training getting ready to get into full swing. Is anyone planning on running the Libbie Loop. If not then it's really no use to put the cooler out. No biggie but just would like to know. Good luck to everyone with their training.

Thanks. I will need prayers and luck for this one. Gonna be fun though. Shooting for under 4 hours.
Well, that didn't happen. Fell 5 times. But I finished! Garmin Time 4:19:14, gun time was 4:36:18, I think. Got a purple knee the size of a grapefruit (hit it twice on two different falls.) Ice, Ibuprofen and elevation. Soon to be good as new. Hope to make our Wednesday lunch run.
Great time and race though Ralph but sorry about the fall. Take care of yourself and hope to see you soon!!!!
Thanks! Swelling is already going down!
Where does the Thursday bike ride meet? What's the usual distance? I got a bike last month and thinking about coming out sometime.
BPG bike groups meets primarily on Sunday Mornings. Distance varies depending on the events that various members are training towards. Usually minimum distance is no less than 15 miles (or 1 hour) of riding. As events get closer, rides can go as long as 3 hours. Depending on who is riding that morning, the groups will naturally divide depending on speed. We loop West Creek business park so you can do as many loops as you would like.
On Thursday nights, lately it has only been the Menace and myself riding. We take this as more of a recovery ride for now and as the Spring gets closer, those rides will extend and speed will pick up.
Everyone is welcome to join the rides. Sunday morning is probably the best one to join until the weather gets a little warmer. I look forward to seeing you. We meet in the Direct Buy parking lot.
Thanks for the info. Sundays are a no go for me as I'm a musician at my church. I'll have to come out on a Thursday (but can't this week). How do we juggle work, life and multiple sports? Smh... I'll post before I come.
