No, but since you were ready to go to blows last week, I thought it would be best to ask.
Thursday nite ride - JD, Jen, Rambo, Sharen, the Menace and RR took in a great evening out at the creek. Menace put on another mechanics clinic, trying to teach the troops about upgrading their bikes. I think JD and Jen got in 28, while the rest of us got in about 20.
I hear we may have a newbie applying to join the cycle mafia on
Sunday. Who could that be?
Saturday long run-17 miles total. it can always be shortened if you would like to run less. there will be a water stop but it is a good idea to bring your own hydration. it's going to be a great morning for a run, so come on out and join us!!!!

Saturday we will be running a practice run for the Capital 10 miler. We'll be starting from the park at 6:30, picking up the course there and doing the full 10. We will have a waterstop out, and all are welcome to join us.
No Libbie Loop this week unless someone wants to lead. I'll be running the 10 miler with RR.
Hey Ray-

Thanks again for the lift back to my car last Saturday after I injured my calf (and fell). My calf is much better (could not run this week though) and I am a bit nervous running 10 miles on it tomorrow when it still aches a bit if I run. I am going to try to fit in a short run over here over the weekend but only if it does not hurt. I think next Saturday I can re-join you all. Thanks again. Looks like awesome weather tomorrow!!! Yeah!!!!!!!
Glad to hear you are feeling better. Next weekend, the biking members of the group have a big ride on Saturday (Heart of Virginia RABA ride). After that, the Maymont 8 and the Capital 10 on the following Saturdays. I won't be back at the Park on Saturday until 10/9. Rest up and listen to the body, it will tell you when it's time.
Thanks Ray, I will. I am hopeful I can get a few training runs in before the Capital 10. Hope to see you there--have a good run!
bpg am report:

the batman and 2.0 + rode the usual hour and 20+. awesome morn. really dark and cooler. the bat signal was fully charged and did not fizzle out. it's getting dark sooner and longer, be careful and use appropriate gear, reflective vests, headlamps, blinkie lites, etc.

stay tuned for nascar updates, regularly scheduled programming, and the ifred bike report.

bpg group runs start at 6.30a tomorrow, not sure how much longer we can hold out before reverting back to 7a. safety comes first in the park.
If you are not running the Capitol 10M we could really use your help on the race course. The race will be fast and the total time will only be a few hours at the max. If you can volunteer, please sign up at https://www.raceit.com/register/?event=1973 We really need course marshals. Just need to stand there and point where to go. Pretty simple. Please sign up. We need to know you will be there.
Thanks,
Ed
iFred Report: Johnny Mac and IFred did an extended version of the Riverside Loop including the Semmes/Forest Hill/Cherokee Circuit. Generally an easy pace except on the ladder Circuit.
sunday am has projected precip. gotta wait and see on that. anybody want to ride tomorrow in the afternoon? megan of kansas, nebraska, va, d of c is rolling in sometime after noon and wants to get out on bike.
