Well I survived the swim and didn't even use any floatation devices! I had a great time this morning at Shady Grove. Everyone was absolutely correct-I loved it and am now looking forward to my next one! The multi-sport world is fun! I even snagged a nice hoodie and beach towel by taking 1st in my age group and 1st out of the first time females. Thanks to Wolfie and Hot Rod coming out to cheer me on!!
Heard Sarge did awesome this morning in the half!
Sara, you are a BEAST!! What an athlete, awesome effort today for sure.
Put "Run for the Dream" on your list of 'must do' races. It was a terrific event. well marked, dynamite start with the fife and drum leading you to the start line, and great food at the end. The course was, as promised, hills hills and more hills, but it was beautiful. The weather was tough, but it is mid-May in Virginia. I saw George looking good at mile 7, then lost track of hm at the end. I also thought I saw Brian in a blur as he raced passed.
Thanks to Woo for fixing me up so I could run this race ; ]
I'm glad you were able to run it - way to go! I was thinking about you this morning out there running those hills on the Colonial Parkway.
I thought they did a great job on the 8-k too! It was lots of fun.
Great job Rosie, Brian, George, and multi-sport Sara! Way to go Woo, Rambo and RR conquering tough climbs on bike today!
