Supporting running in the metro Richmond area

My wife received a text message alert this morning with someone's split or finish time. The same thing happened to the husband of one of my friends. She and I both ran the Frostbite 15k last month. We both had text message alerts set up for our spouses to receive the alerts so they would know how we were doing.

I think the organization that handles this had my wife's and my friend's hubby's info left over from the Frostbite 15k and they probably received alerts for the runners participating in the Youngblood 5k this morning.

Can someone help me identify the organization so I can contact them and ask to have this info purged from their records so this is not an ongoing problem? Not only is it annoying, but I also fear the person that was supposed to receive the notification for these runners did receive it.

Thanks

This was the first time we tried runner tracking with one of the club races. This was intended as a trial. For some people it worked and for others it didn't. Its a little more difficult than it appears. This involved working with the timing company, the race registration company and each of the cell phone companies. The text came from our race registration company www.raceit.com. You can contact them at information@RaceIt.com. I have tried to use this type of service at other major races such as Boston Marathon and have gotten text messages 6 months later. Not sure what happened.
Ed,

Thanks for the info. I will contact raceit and see if they can help me. It's a great service and I was excited to see it was offered when I registered for the race. I certainly hope the club sees it as a success overall and will not shy away from using it in the future because of these relatively minor glitches.
I got text messages and email splits for 2 women I don't know running in a marathon in Jacksonville Sunday. I emailed raceit and they said it was a glitch with their system not recording the Event ID correctly. They were very responsive to return my email within 10 minutes on a Sunday morning. Also nice to support a local business as I believe they are based here in Glen Allen.
