Supporting running in the metro Richmond area
Through the third quarter (June 30) of the new Golden Grand Prix competition there are 2 female finalists.
Additionally, Ann Hirn is one RRRC GP race, one RRRC GP race volunteer, and one RRRC contract race volunteer point away from becoming a finalist. That does not include the July races.
The male GGP competition is crowded with six members already qualifying as of the end of the third quarter.
Nine members already have run at least the required 3 RRRC GP races and only need volunteer points to qualify as a Golden Grand Prix Finalists

Those needing a RRRC GP race point and a RRRC contract point to qualify are:
A couple other members need an additional GP race and volunteer points. Of course these numbers do not include the July RRRC Cul de sacs and the RRRC Pony Pasture as the third quarter ended June 30.
There are two RRRC races left to get the required RRRC GP volunteer point. Both this Thursday's RRRC Moonlight 4 miler and the Aug 25 Patrick Henry Half Marathon still need lots of volunteers.
There are three RRRC contract races in September for the last chance to get the required RRRC contract volunteer point , the 8th, 15th, and 22.
Still time for quite a few more members to qualify as a Golden Grand Prix Finalist and get a free invite to the banquet (plus guest), recognition and a Grand Prix prize. Finalists do not have to place to get the invite, the recognition, and the prize.
Please let the above know that they can get out and get their needed volunteer points in August and September and become Grand Prix Finalists.
Check your own totals under the Club Competition tab to see if you can still qualify, either as a Grand Prix Finalists or a Golden Grand Prix Finalists.
Update, the Sept 5 Innsbrook 5k RRRC contract race has be cancelled. There are still the two chances before the end of the current GP season to get that contract race volunteer point in.
