Supporting running in the metro Richmond area
Based upon the recent round of snow and the upcoming nights (Fri and Sat) in the mid-teens, we believe that the course at Huguenot Park will be unsafe to run the upcoming 3 Miler on Sunday.
After much discussion, we have decided to cancel the race and refund the registration fees for all paid registrants. Refunds will be issued within the next 7 days. If any entry was paid for in cash or by check, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will try the race again next year.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we try to protect our parks and trails and most importantly the runners and volunteers.

The Grand Prix is a year long competition offering races of varying distances to challenge our runners. This year, we added an additional race at the beginning of October, the CMT Half. With such a comprehensive and diverse race offering, reducing the required minimum of races to become a finalist by 20% is unnecessary. Below, find a list of our club race offerings for the year:
-CMT Half Marathon
-TURKEY TROT 10K
- BEAR CREEK 10 MILE Trail Run
- TOYS FOR TOTS 5K
- FIRST DAY 5K
- WILLIS RIVER 35K/50K Trail Run
- FROSTBITE 15K
- SWEETHEART 8K
- HUGUENOT 3 MILER *CANCELLED*
- CARYTOWN 10K
- STRATFORD HILLS 10K
- CUL-DE-SAC 5K SERIES (3 races on 3 dates – any TWO will count as ONE Grand Prix race
- PONY P ASTURE 5K
- MOONLIGHT FOUR MILER
- PATRICK HENRY HALF MARATHON
But then again as of this race 66.6% of the races have already been completed. This leaves only Pony Pasture as the remaining short race (I am sorry Moonlight 4 Miler doesn't count) Which means I will have to run a 10k or greater to finish my requirements
Along with CMT Half Marathon, BEAR CREEK 10 MILE Trail Run, WILLIS RIVER 35K/50K Trail Run are all at Bear Creek State park which is over 60 miles away...
Some of us plan on what races we will run based on vacation time and family obligations, and schedule that (Starting last October)
