Mark- Did you complete the Mt. Mitchell challenge? I'd love to read/hear a race report...the newspaper articles on the race talked about "Antarctic-like" conditions!

Negs- Sorry but I heard from Joe that there was a post. I missed it, as I don't much view the msg board. Yes, the Challenge was just that- a challenge. The distance was pared-down to 35 miles due to a trail segment being closed down due to high drifts. Abour 25 degrees at the strarting elevation of 2,200'. It got incrementally colder and windier as we climbed to 6,683' at the top. And yes, there'll be an article in M&M. Thanks for inquiring... :)
