Supporting running in the metro Richmond area
James River Scramble 10K vs XTERRA Richmond Trail Run 10K
Is the James River Scramble 10K on May 16th (which appears to be a Sports Backers race, although their website doesn't provide any other information) the same course as the XTERRA Richmond Trail Run 10K on June 13th?
I can sign up for the Xterra trail 10K on their website (www.xterratrailrun.com), but I can't figure out how to sign up for the James River Scramble.
Why the same race? I realize this has large political issues attached to it, and I like the fact the James River Scramble is raising money for the James River Parks. But with the Sports Backers race 2 months away, they should have this promoted and organized much better.

RRRC plans races in advance and Xterra wasn't even sure if they were coming back this year. That's why they are two different races

Registration is open and sportsbackers has plenty of information: http://www.sportsbackers.org/events/scramble.htm
I think you haven't heard much about it just because everyone is consumed with the Monument 10K right now. I think the James River Scramble will be the better and more participated of the two.

Thanks for the link. The main Sports Backers page (http://www.sportsbackers.org/index.html) lists the race, but when you click on the link for more details, it takes you to their Volunteer page. The link you provided is what I was looking for.
While I have run the Xterra scramble previously, I'd rather support our local club and parks, so I'll be running the James River Scramble 10K on May 16th!
