Supporting running in the metro Richmond area

Looking for a place to run in Northern Richmond/King's Dominion Area

A friend and I are looking for a place to run in the Northern Richmond area, preferably near King's Dominion.  This will be a 20 mile training run for the Richmond Marathon.  I would appreciate any suggestions.

Here's a pretty challenging route with only a couple of turns - it's a little short of 20 but the hills will make up for it.  You can refuel in Ashland.

Thank you for this route.  Have you ran it before?

Most of it - we call it the Blunt's Bridge Challenge - I think the bikers call it 3 sisters - for the 3 major hills.  I usually start in Ashland.  I have not run the short part from Ridge to Blunt's Bridge.

Another option if your planning to run this Saturday, park at the train station in Ashland - run Blunt's to Ridge & back - then run the Harvest Run 10K at 9:00.
