Supporting running in the metro Richmond area

Lookin like a fool.........

OK, could not resist - But it is good intro to my subject.  I noticed over Xmas shopping that many sports stores have only "long" running style shorts for men.  (Yeah, I don't shop a lot)  Being on short side (5'7") those things come to my knees.  So for most running I prefer the older shorter styles.  Just wondering what others thought.  I did see funny comment in last Runners World, if you ask whether your shorts are too short, the answer is yes!

Just prefer the "freedom" of less material and like I said, the longer ones just make me feel that much shorter!

I with you on this one. The long shorts tend to ride up too. The shorter the better.
I like a medium length short... :-)
Vintage running shorts on Ebay seem to be running a little expensive..
I wear whatever I feel comfortable with and cost the cheapest. Longer length may be better in the cool of spring but personally, I buy them on sale, on clearance and on the cheap side.
Dude:

Didn't realize that Goodwill had a running clothes section:)

The Dudette
They have lots of race t-shirts.
Have to check and see if they have a Bear Creek 10 Miler shirt that's not been used. Wouldn't want any swamp monster residue on it:)
Dudette: haven't heard from you in awhile. Did you just pop out of your hole from winter hibernation??? News flash: winter is here for another 2 months. AND, if Goodwill had a running clothes section, yes I'd be their best customer!!! So there.......put that in your hokie beer mug and chug it !!!!!!!!
Dude:

Glad to know that you haven't made the New Year's resolution to being a kinder, more gentle message board poster for the New Year:)

Dudette:

If I did that, our posts would be so politically tap dancing correct that we would send each other into a long winters sleep. Look, some people like their wings mild/medium.......I like the 9-11 variety. That goes with posting too. But hey there are times that I can express the kinder, gentler approach.......kinda the way I do with you.
