Supporting running in the metro Richmond area

Hi am currently 22 weeks pregnant and looking/researching for a great running stroller.  Does anyone out there know of any good ones? I am looking for a stroller for street running, light weight, turns well and will hold my water container that is reasonably priced.  Thanks!

Not sure about brands, but I've seen a number of places saying that jogging strollers aren't a good idea for children under age 1. Even the stroller manufacturers warn against using them before six months. Although children develop neck strength by three months or so, you're talking about significant movement during a run.
Have not heard this before. Thanks for the tip. I will definitely keep this in mind.
We've got the Baby Jogger brand one, and I'm really happy with it. Although it's not really much of one for turning. I don't use it enough, now that I think about it.
B.O.B. is the best stroller!!!!! it flies as fast as your legs will go and turns on a dime when you have the swivel on. i didn't get it until my daughter was 3 and have been using it with my son since he was 4 months old. plus, i saw a lady with one today, outfitted with a converter bar for her infant seat. expensive but worth every penny!!!!!!
2nd on the BOB. It's the only stroller we used. It was great for running, had attachments for everything, including a water bottle. We had the converter bar, or bullhorn as we called it, & could use the baby seat with it. Definitely not cheap, but worth it. If you get a BOB, be sure to get the Revolution that has the swivel wheel that locks when running.
I like the Sport Utility version of the BOB. We tend to use it to go to festivals and parks. We also go hiking on the smoother hiking trails. The brakes work well on it and I like the comfortable tether strap that they come with in case you slip the stroller won't go flying away.

I, too, have the S.U.S. version of the BON (the Ironman). It is AMAZING!!! It has an adapter for an infant seat. Now, the most important thing you need to consider is if you want this as a true jogger, or a more versatile stroller. The BOB SUS doesn't have a swivel front wheel, but the BOB Revolution does. However, if you are serious about running with the stroller, you want a stationary front wheel, not just one that locks, like the Revolution has.
With my daughter, we bought the Baby Jogger III (at the time - 2003 - it was the newest version) w/ the 20" wheels. Loved it then because the larger wheels make for a great ride, and I still occasionally run w/ my son in it though he's 45 lbs. now. I think my daughter was about 5 months old when I started pushing her. She was so little before that time. I used a Kiddopatomus (sp?) stroller cushion underneath her which helped her not sink down so much until she was a little bigger (one side sheepskin, one side cotton). I've had the BJIII for 6 years now and it's stood the test of time and logged a ton of miles.

We bought the BOB Ironman Duallie when my son was born in 2005. It has smaller wheels and wasn't as easy to run w/ as the BJ w/ the larger wheels. Of course, it was bulkier and heavier so that's to be expected. But it was really well made and stood up to a lot of use too. Hope this helps.
