Sweetheart 8k, Sat, Feb 13 Help! We need 5 or 6more volunteers to sign up online!
Come on out to Sweetheart. Over 300 runners signed up so far!
This is a RRRC Grand Prix Race and we need volunteers in all areas. Go to the home page and click in to volunteer at the bottom of the Sweetheart ad. Please pick a category. We would like to have you assigned before race day to help race morning go more smoothly.
We have a race marshal coordinator, but we still need a water stop leader to help out. Post here if you want to help out that little extra.
Grand Prix season is in full swing. Get your Grand Prix Race volunteer point or get in another of those 5 Grand Prix races you need to qualify. Remember, you don't need to place in any race to become a finalist and place in your age group

pete, I would like to help but my Ukrop 10K training doesnt finish till 8ish(for a 3miler). I am sure a lot of folks from the training teams would also like to volunteer, and help out the race. but they just couldnt get out in time...bad timing

I run that race and always hurry to it there after the training run (I need 15+ that Saturday). It is from The Grove Clubhouse at the bottom of the Grove hill so anyone on the intermediate that wants to help can probably get there before it starts. The one water stop is up Woolridge in that parking lot and those volunteers just drive there. The race marshals would have a little time to get in place. The Y 10k training is 5miles next Saturday so that is a little rushed but could be done. We do have a few on the team that skip the training and run the race instead.

yeah, I meant to do just 1/2 of training and get over to help...I mention tis coz on that bulletine had announced volunteers were asked to be @ the race site by 7am. I will try to be there.
