Supporting running in the metro Richmond area

Sweating so much you feel like you had a really Great, hard workout of ten+ miles even if you only ran 2 or 3 miles!

Plus, the nice tan from the sun if you do a lunchtime run, makes it look like you spent a few days at the beach!

And the cold milkshake and ice water afterwards tastes extra delish!

I love that Virginia has 4 distinct seasons! Each comes at the perfect time when we wish for a nice change in weather!
Darrick, you are doing super fantastic in your excellent trail and ultra running!
From the injured and disabled - the best part is being able to run at all. Killing me not to be out there.
Hope you feel better soon, b white. Sending all caring thoughts for your speedy recovery. Take care and wishing you best!
How literally Cool is this!!!
I actually saw these cute little hand fans you can carry with you!!
I wonder how effective these are? How nice to feel a wonderful breeze when you are running in the summer!!!
I think the RRRC should have a summer run going through one of those big mist sprayers you see at those water parks. We could all do laps through this and keep nice and cool!
At the Beat the Heat 5K on Saturday morning, the firemen opened up a fire hydrant so that all the runners could have a nice cool misty spray after the run. Best part was seeing all the little kids getting soaking wet and having a blast:)
Sunshine and Happiness Lisa,
This sounds so fantastic with the fire hydrant water fun!!
The Beat the Heat 5K must have been wonderful!
Glad you had a fun time there!
Lisa, you are always marvelous times a million! :)
Wishing you the loveliest day and weekend as joyful as you are!
Cloudy and goofy Dudette:
Where were you on Tuesday late afternoon at 6:15:01pm??? We had a nice shaded 5 mile run to PONY PASTURE and back. We didn't have firemen and hoses but we did have a nice tantalizing riva and a cool water fountain with bathroom facilities which were appreciated by all......that is except you. AWOL......AWOL......AWOL.......
Dude:

Believe it or not, I sincerely wish that I had been running with you all on Tuesday instead of being at the hospital all week. All is well now and I'm looking forward to getting back on track with my running schedule since someone in my family decided to get sick and throw a wrench in my schedule:)

Dudette: Here is the solution to your problem. Remove all wrenches from your property. They can be awfully dangerous when handled improperly. That's it.........pretty simple solution to your problem. You should have called on me sooner......
What a relief to know that the real Joe "The Dude" Ryan is back. Was getting worried that you had gone all "fuzzy and warm" on us based on some of your past posts. Think your energies should now be focused on the newsletter since you and G Hearn seem to be quite worried about it:)

Dudette
Dudette: Thanks for your direction and guidance in your attempt to get me to focus on one of your club benefits. Don't worry, cause Gary and I are on top of the situation. I am concerned about the erosion of your hard earned benefits and you can trust me to act in your best interest. You see......I am still that warm and fuzzy guy that you have always known. Its just sometimes I have to keep you honest!!!
Yea, I tried at like 8 pm last night but with how humid it was, I jumped out my front door, into the air... and got stuck. I do agree, however. Did a few days out and about and then joined a friend to the gym for a run and really had to work to get myself to breath hard.
