Thursday Nite Winter Solstice Trail Run- December 16 @ 5:30PM!!!

The Museum of Fine Arts' Thursday Nite Running Group will be hosting the Annual Winter Solstice Trail Run and Christmas Light Run on Thursday, December 16 @ 5:30PM!!!  Yes, there will be diminished light, but that won't deter us from an evening trail run!!!  So grab your headlamp or hand-held light source and come out.  The run starts on Sheppard Street adjacent to the Museum's parking structure at 5:30PM.  We run past Byrd Park to the Boulevard Bridge, over the bridge and onto the Buttermilk Trail.  We then take Buttermilk east thru Reedy Creek to Riverside Towers, across Belle Isle, thru Oregon Hill and into The Fan for a Christmas Lite Tour!!!  Once back at Sheppard Street we exchange cookies and the such. 

THIS IS BIG!!!  BE PART OF IT!!!

Mark: those photo's are not from past TNR Solstice events. You need to get some photo's of this event to accurately reflect this run on the shortest day of the year.

I won't be able to do the entire distance that evening....maybe I can hook up with the group at a certain point along the way.

There are a couple of places to jump in: The south end of the Boulevard Bridge; Reedy Creek; Riverside Towers; Tredegar at the trail...

Yes, about 8. But since it's the holidays, you can log 15 in your training diary...
