This week's Tuesday Nite Workout is a track interval nite! Perfect timing for those running everything from the Monument Ave 10K to the Massanutten Hundred Miler!!! This week's recommended workout will be filled with 400 meter repeats. This a great distance to develop speed (and also a distance that Nigel can handle without getting tired).
The workout: After a warm-up jog and 100 m strides, we'll do 3 sets of the following: 400m/recovery/400m/recovery/400m/recovery/400m/water stop
Place: We meet at the St. Christopher's track, leave for the warm-up jog at 5:30pm and then return for the remainder. From Patterson Ave : turn south onto Maple Ave (at Pizza Hut one block one west of Libbie) then take the 2nd right into little parking lot.
Disclaimer: Please call my cell if you intend to come out but will be late. i'll make certain that we return to the track following our warm-up, rather than convert to a tempo run (which we sometimes do).
