Supporting running in the metro Richmond area

robyn hartley

While i was running, my daughter fell in the lake...are you the one who pulled her out?!

i ran the turkey trot this morning and dragged my family along to cheer me on. shortly after the start, my husband, who was holding our 10 month old, noah, had the biggest scare of his life. our daughter, lily, 4, had rolled into the lake. she had chosen to play her new leapster while relaxing in the stroller. a kind stranger went into the lake after my daughter and many others assisted my husband in getting lily safe and warm. we do not know the name of the gentleman who rescued lily. we would love to thank him with all our hearts. we are thankful to our guardian angels this very special thanksgiving. and, we are sorry for littering the lake with the leapster learning pad.

I know my friend Jim Temple's wife, Irene, was one of those at the scene. I'll the word along tonight.

Hello Robyn,

My name is Ramon Puzon and I was told by some friends that you posted this email wanting to know who helped your daughter. Well, it was me. As a father of two young boys I must admit my heart dropped seeing that stroller roll in to the lake. The good news is it sounds like Lily is doing fine and that is all that matters. It truly was a day of thanksgiving and thank you for wanting to know who helped that day. Just so you know, there was another gentleman who also helped me pull the stroller out and we briefly talked afterwards. However, I did not get his name but I hope you find out. If not, I am sure he knows how grateful you are.

Take good care,

Ramon
