Comment by Sara Anderson on February 11, 2013 at 6:43pm Hi Bryan Park Group runners - I am currently doing the YMCA 10K straining until April but after that would like to continue training with longer runs towards a half marathon in VA Beach on labor day weekend. Do you have people running around the 10 to 12 min mile pace? What distances do you usually plan out? Where do you meet? Are you open to new runners this spring? Thanks very much for any information you can share.
Comment by Chris Kelly on January 25, 2013 at 5:30pm Team,
The snow is not melting off the roads because of the cold. And it is only suppose to be 2 degrees warmer at 8:30 AM below freezing. So I am going to cancel our Saturday 1/26 run.
Live Lean! Live Fit!

Comment by Susan Deusebio on January 11, 2013 at 4:50pm Thanks for contacting us. We are sticking with 7 a.m. in Bryan Park in front of the soccer fields for now. If it is bitter cold or looks unsafe, I am keeping the option open to move the time to later in the morning when it is warmer and there is more sun. We usually run 5. 5 to 6.5 miles each Sat. this time of year. The paces range from 8 mm to 12 mm, and honestly, the group is rather "mature" as in most are over 40. We just have fun running together. If you know northside with Bellevue and Ginter Park and you don't want to do the entire route, you can cut back to the park at any time. We will be there tomorrow at 7 and you are welcome to join us, but please wear reflective clothes as it will be foggy in the morning.
Comment by Richard Crom on January 11, 2013 at 4:39pm Hi, is this group still starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday mornings? I thought I saw somewhere that maybe you were going to make it a little later during the winter months. I might like to give it a try if you're not too fast or too long for me! Thanks for any details - R Crom
