Question for MMTR veterans about course conditions 6 Replies

If you've run the MMTR before, what is your recommendation on needing trail shoes for the race?  Looks like the race covers a lot of gravel/dirt roads.  How gnarly are the logging roads and the…Continue

Thanks for keeping an eye out for me, Tom.  I saw you had a nice finish at Seashore.  Congrats!  I'll be sleeping in while you tear up the Willis River Trail.

I've been on a vacation from training for a while now.  Cut my weekly mileage by 1/3 and haven't run anything intense or longer than 22 miles since the MMTR.  I'm signed up for Holiday Lake next month.  Hoping that I can motivate for that race and the 24-hour race in April, but I'm really enjoying the down time right now.

I know its last minute, but does anyone need some junk miles next week?  I'll need some company and the weather in Fla is supposed to be perfect (low 50's to mid 70's).  Any takers???

It doesn't work so well with IE but had no trouble with google chrome

Actually, I had to refresh my browser about 4x to make either of them work.

Carlton - that link isn't working for me, but if I go to the home page and hit the link it works. If anyone else is having trouble start here:

This is where I found them:

Looks like there was an amazing race for first place.

Hey, does anyone have a link to the results?  I can not seem to find them.

Great job by everyone.  There were many first time MMTR 50 mile finishers from Richmond.  Perfect day, perfect weather, awesome runners and best cheering squad ever from Richmond.

I will be heading up to do 20 - 40 mile runs every other weekend, weather pending beginning in January.  I am heading back to SD for another go at the BlackHills 100.

I'll let them know.

Dave is working on the "MMTR 50 DVD".  I'll let you know when it's available at Redbox ;>)

Sounds like a plan for next year.
