Supporting running in the metro Richmond area

Is anyone thinking about running in the 100k UltraROC race in September?   32 miles out and back with a belt buckle time of 17 hours.   19 hour cutoff.   Thanks!

David,  I thought about possibly running this race, but an experience ultra runner recommended finding another race in that time frame. I don't want to elaborate on why, but suffice it to say that you might like to try something else first. There are some really good ones in October, November and December within VA and surrounding states that are run by very experienced race directors.  If you come down to the James River trails on June 24 to run with Carlton and others you can ask about opportunities to race in the fall.  Just my humble opinion.  Doug

David,

Doug wrote the 24th, but it's really Saturday, June 25th for the JRT run.  I messed up with the incorrect date on numerous communications.  But I promise the planning for it will be a little better than that!

I plan to run the JFK 50M in November.  It's supposed to be a good race for first-timers at the distance (like me).

Carlton

Of course instead of running JRT on the 24 or 25, you could just join me for a little race out in the Black Hills of SD....  Pick your poison, 100 miles, 100k or 50 miles.  As an added bonus, plan an extra day and see Mount Rushmore.  Flights to Cheyenne, WY normal priced, then drive up to Stugis (outside Rapid City) vs an arm & a leg priced tickets to Rapid City.

Now that would be an AWESOME trip....going to SD, running, and seeing the sites.   Tempting!!!
