Hope you had a good run at the Scramble and today at Careytown. All you guys that did the Challenge earned that medal and more!! Was pretty toasty yesterday evening and warm this morning. Would be happy to run with you on a road route sometime. I have some routes that I run out in the Short Pump area near The Steward School on Gayton Rd. Hope you have a great week!

Good luck running the Scramble tomorrow!! Just take it slow and easy and get lots of rest after the race. On Sunday, when you're running the Careytown race, just think of that gorgeous, shiny, Challenge medal waiting for you at the finish:)

Around mile 8/9, I was wishing that I had just signed up to run the 5K instead of the 10K:) I wasn't expecting the last part of the course to finish on an incline. Wasn't a happy camper at that point. However, the course was beautiful and I would like to run the race next year if I can get in. Hopefully, the Cherry Blossoms won't bloom early next year:) Happy Running!

I read in Runner'sWorld about some controversy using ipods in a marathon race in the MidWest. Evidently, they DQ'd some runners over it, I think. Appears the "old schooled" runners don't like races allowing the use of ipods. I've always ran without a MP3 player. I'm technologically challenged so I've never figured out how to use one:). Would be interested to see if your boss is allowed to run with her ipod in the 5K race. Not sure how you would enforce this other than inspecting everyone running which would take forever to do. I'm sure that this will be the next big message board item after the "banditing" thing dies down after awhile:).

I was checking the Cherry Blossom website and it said that no headphones are allowed in the race. I thought that you ran with an ipod for the Richmond 1/2 marathon and I'm not sure if the earbuds for it would classify as "headphones" for the Cherry Blossom. Just wanted to point it out to you in case you can't run with the ipod so you can get used to running without it during training. Hope you had a lovely holiday!!

Hello, Beautiful Friend, Dana!! You are the BEST!! I just read your post about the bandits, and your proposal I thought was fantastic. I love how your approach is with kindness and positive infusion. GREAT idea!!
Hope all is going well for you each and every day. You are the nicest and truly deserve marvelous, joy, and blessings always. Miss you a lot and hope to run into you soon. I am taking a running break to help out family for a while. I feel time slipping by too fast, but I hope by spring to do a fun run. I did sign up for Bear Creek, but not sure I can really end up making that after all.
Take care, Dana--you are joy and sunshine, wisdom and serenity, a beautiful gem in this world!
