2009 Totals

I did my last speedwork/strength sessions of 2009 today and it got me thinking about what I did throughout 2009. Here is a quick recap:



2019.12 Total Miles that I tracked with GPS (not inlcuding indoor workouts)

- Running = 405.17 miles, 54 hours, average pace 7:50/mi, 72,533 calories burned

Anaerobic Threshold Bike Session

GREAT anaerobic threshold/time trial spinerval session on the bike this morning with Coach Troy! These workouts are great if you don't have much time in the morning because they are only about 35 minutes long!!!

Tempo Run

Turkey Trot Race Recap

Had a solid race this morning at the Turkey Trot on a challenging course.



There is a short flat at the start before turning to go uphill for the majority of the first mile. In hindsight, my split of 6:25 was a bit fast. The second mile was deceptively downhill and my split of 6:05 was once again too fast. I started paying for it after mile 3 and my splits went up into the 6:50 range. Nutrition

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!! I made the mistake of trying a new brand of pre-race endurance drink and post race recovery drink today and paid dearly for it. Fortunately, I still had some PowerBar Recovery at home and after two 24oz bottles and an hour nap, I am starting to feel better.
