that duathalon richmond has sounds pretty cool. I've done one triathlon sprint. I wasn't real good at swimming in open water. Big difference from the pool. If your ever looking for a long run at Pocahontas, I'm your man.

stay strong, Chris

Congratulations to you and Deedee. The first marathon is always the toughest. I vowed never to do that again after my first. 2 yrs later I ran my second marathon and took 20 min off my time.
As for Swinging Bridge I got lost for a good bit and the race director drove me back to the course. I sign was down and if you didn't know the course you went off. I held on to my slow pace and finished with this Iron women. We ran the last 4mi together. She was a hoot so time went by. Our finish time was 6:42 or something like that. You ladies were a life saver for me. I had walked 6 mi when you came upon me. My back was still a little sore the following week but I had a great 15k up in Richmond.
My legs are fried from running HAT 50k. That would be a good one for you and your friend if you ever want to move up to ultra running.

Happy Trails

I believe I ran with you the last part of Swinging bridge. How did your marathon turn out? I ran HAT this weekend in MD. It was a little warm but the stream crossing turned out to be a great cooling spot.

take care, Chris
