Hey Karen, We are doing the full marathon in November and have joined the marathon training team this year. You inspired us to take the plunge! It still hasnt sunk in that we would have to do 26.2 miles..yikes!!!
I am gonna miss the PHH team. They are the best! Any one else we know that is training for PHH this year?
Karen, having had the pleasure of coaching you toward your first half marathon last summer, I can't help but feel so happy to hear that you have just finished your first marathon. It took me a lot longer to do my first one, so I am very impressed. Keep it up! I want to continue to enjoy hearing about the successes that you and your buds rack up over the years. Congratulations!
Yeah, right! I put down my estimated time as 4 hours, based on my last half time, and people have been ribbing me about it mercilessly ever since! I think I should just say that I want to finish from now on. I hope they have pace groups at Shamrock, though.

I'm training with the Spring Marathon Training Team out of Dogwood Dell on Saturdays -- boy, was it cold and windy this past weekend running over the Lee Bridge. Thanks for volunteering in the cold for the 10K -- it was great seeing you and Renee.

Looks like this group is for experienced marathoners but I am sure you can do it! They may also know of novice groups training for the marathon.. Hope this helps! Good Luck Karen!
You had the hill repeats spreadsheet, so I was wondering if you also kept the speed play information, as in what laps to do in Weeks 1, 2, 3 and 4, and how to figure out your speed on each lap. I was supposed to run the Capitol 10-miler and was looking forward to meeting up with you guys again, but I had a shoulder/neck injury that kept me sidelines for a week or so. I am still training for the Richmond Half, so maybe I'll see you for that! Thanks!
