Kevin, Marion Herring, who ran the Willis River 35k is a male. The results on the website results, show him as a female, and first place place female. He was in fact the second place male.
Is there any info on water stops aid stations etc, just signed up for this, first time for this event.
Thanks.
I saw you this morning driving by!! I was writing a thank you card to deliver to Bill Lis! It was great to see you!
Hope you are enjoying some wonderful running and wishing you the best always!!
Are you going to run with the ultrarunners Sun. the 15th 6:30 (see ultrarunner message board)--they are doing 3 loops at Pocahontas I believe starting at the parking lot by the pool. I am going to probably do just one loop ( I think it's about 13 or 14 miles) or maybe just a part of one. They are going to do around 3. I believe Marianna, Chris Calfee, and others are going to be there.
Wishing you a terrific weekend, Kevin!
I just wanted to say I love the "Guts and Glory" award for the Swinging Bridge 50k. I'm prouder of that than any medals I have received. Here is my race report blog for the Swinging Bridge. I think you'll find it entertaining:

Do you need more volunteers? I can help, but I would have to leave about 11:30 or so.

Do you have John Deeter's email or phone number? I knew him from 8 or so years ago and would like to contact him. Searched for him in the marathon results and see he was still kickin--yea!
