Breaking Into The Habit

It had been a full five years since the last time I felt the adrenaline from the start of a race, or the intensity of hearing a runner's footsteps come up just behind mine. I had forgotten the feeling, but something motivated me. I enlisted for the Monument Avenue 10k. I then began what would amount to as the most pathetic training attempt in the history of running.
