Good to hear from you. Did you really join the RRRC in 1900, I thought I was an old timer... I'm doing what I always do, running, biking, and racing once a month. This time of year I just try get out very early. I don;t really "train" for anything anymore. I am heading to CO in September so that keeps me working hard since I will be hurt by the altitude.
Thanks for returning the friend invite and thank you for your reply to my posting about the Ashland RR on the RRRC message board.
I appreciate your feedback and I really appreciate the fact that your response was positive. I realize that my post was criticism of what I am sure was a successful event for you.
I did have a thought that might be worth exploring over the next year. Have you considered getting both your local realtors and chamber of commerce involved?
I have always felt that the race was a great way to display Ashland and all that it has to offer, a great downtown, pretty neighborhoods, friendly people, and an active college. I know I always leave thinking, “what a nice place to live.” Perhaps with a group as powerful as the real estate agents and a few businesspersons on your side you could get the restrictions opened up a little.
