Well, I was in the 40-80% spot, so I ran 10 miles Saturday morning with my old Falcon HMTT team. Pace was just above 9 minute mile pace. Felt fine for 3 miles. Then, at the 3 mile point, my hamstring tightened up (like last Saturday) and I had to stop and stretch. Interestingly, for the next 7 miles I felt a few cycles of pain/soreness/tightness followed by no pain at all. Really strange.
My main concern now -- I am thinking that my body just doesn't like the 7:30 - 8 minute pace. Who knows?
Don't expect I'll be at the track Wednesday, but I do expect to be at Savor on Saturday (and running in Huguenot Sunday). Good to hear your ham is doing better!
Tom
How are you doing, we missed you this morning.
My Hamstring is going better.
Maybe you should consult Teresa S. Stadler, see is the owner of commonwealthsportmedicine, see had nice short lecture this morning after the run.
I may run the saterday race with my son to see how it goes.
Swimming and bike 0r spin class is no problem. I just take it easy on therun part, but Boston is coming slowly closser. I put the 3:35 in the closset, so know it is just finishing and stay healty for my Lake Placid IM race end of July.
No more speed work for me, after every thingh is okay I will do some short races just to go fast. Stay save and don't over run it
Tom
I hope you doing better, maybe the snow is our help
