Doug: I will be running Bear Creek Lake and possibly The Christmas Run. Just depends on how I recover from Bear Creek Lake. I have been running the Beaver Lake Trail alot here lately. It gives you some good training on single track running and a change from the wide Old Mill Trail. I was out there yesterday. Take care.

I am well aware of the commencement of cc season since my daughter ran cc for 5 years with Blacksburg HS. It appeared to me that this might have been an AAU type of event since there was an organized 5k race for younger teens going on at the front of the park. The teens that passed me at the back of the park may very well have been a team conducting a workout.

Dc: sorry I haven't responded till now. I'm runnin at Pocahontas Park Tuesday around 6pm. If interested let me know. Will run 5-6 milr loop. I ran from Qualla Rd trailhead this afternoon.
