Marianna Inslee still leads the 2009 Grand Prix competition!

There are only a few more races left for these few weeks until the competition ends, but Marianna continues to hold a commanding lead with 66 points. For the men, Mark Guzzi and Doug Fernandez are neck and neck with 52 and 51 points respectively.

Marianna, don't back off on the pressure! It's not over yet.

Several others of you could qualify, if only you had that one volunteer credit, or completed that one race or two to reach the five-race minimum.

There is still time to qualify before the end of the season! Everyone, check the results sheets for your name. Then, if you need club racing or volunteer credits, come to Pony Pasture 5k, Moonlight 4 Miler or Patrick Henry Half Marathon. If you need contract race volunteer credit, come to one of those many race events and assist RRRC with timing. Grand Prix credits are also available for myriad other activities like coming to the board meetings, assisting at expo booths and at other events.

The Grand Prix is open to ALL club members. But briefly, to qualify as a Grand Prix finalist, you only need to complete 5 RRRC Club races, volunteer at one and volunteer at one contract race, helping RRRC services at the finish line.
